Radiant Photo Worth The Money!
H&H, San Gimignano, 2002Pre-production Canon EOS-1Ds, 14mm lens, 1/800 second @ f2.8, ISO 800 These are my well-behaved daughters, photographed over 20 years ago, outside the walls of San Gimignano in Italia. I was using a pre-production Canon EOS-1Ds and thought that the folder name on the rear of the screen was the ISO. However, the folder was named '100' and I spent most of the family's two month sojourn shooting at ISO 800. I do remember thinking how much faster digital cameras were than...

Another 'Bad Weather' Day of Wonder
The Tree [Not Tony's], Middlehurst StationPhase One XF IQ150, Schneider Kreuznach LS 110mm f/2.8, 1/8 second @ f11, ISO 50, tripod mounted When it snows heavily in Middlehurst, access around the station becomes limited. The roads are too soft for the 4WDs, the rivers flood and can't be driven on or crossed, and with low cloud you can't fly a helicopter or land a plane. However, legs remain operational and within a short walk of the Quarters there are many locations to photograph - such as this...

5 days/4 nights
Dates: 22 to 26 June 2025
We love Narooma and while we plan to return there again, Len suggested that Port Campbell and the Great Ocean Road could be yet another great location for our world famous ‘deep learning’ photography workshop.
We have booked some great accommodation in the heart of Port Campbell, right on the coast and very close to the Twelve Apostles. There are different levels of accommodation and while all are very comfortable, the rooms with the better views may be booked out first!
However, it’s not just about the accommodation and local food, it’s all about the photography experience. Len and Peter have two completely different ways of shooting, creating and producing their images, but they have the same passion for teaching and photography!
On some photo tours and workshops, the emphasis is on the location and travelling around. While lots can be learned, there aren’t many opportunities to refine post-production or discuss the philosophy and theory of photography.
This is where our Deep Learning Photography Workshop is different. We include structured classroom sessions when we build your skills to capture and create better photographs.
The daily timetable begins and finishes with location shoots timed for the magical light at the ends of each day. In between, you will be stimulated with inspiring presentations and ample time for processing and printing your work.
Yes, printing! We will take your files and make prints with Canson Infinity paper and an Epson SC-P906 printer. Plus there will be lots of time for discussions and critiques of your photographs. Please bring your portfolio along for feedback, if you wish!
It will be a great trip - why don’t you join us and take your photography to the next level?
Deposit of $795 payable on booking with balance due 90 days prior to trip.
There are 2 beach front apartments available for an additional $200 for the four nights - but there are only 2 available, so first in best dressed! When booking let Kim know if you wish to secure one of these apartments and she will let you know if they are still available!
