Format: MP4. Length: Approx. 13 minutes. You can play this movie on your computer, tablet, iPad or iPhone. However, to download it directly to your iPad may require an extra app like Downloads for iPad which will act like a browser and save the movie for playing.

INCLUDES FREE Ps FILE: Small Photoshop file for inspection of layers and techniques. You will need to open this on your computer loaded with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

Below you can see the before and after versions of the photograph. The movie begins with a discussion about how the photograph was taken, and then describes step-by-step how the image was post-produced in Photoshop.

The challenge was to create a light, ethereal feeling to the photograph, and to bring the icebergs forward without making the technique obvious. This is a subtle rendition that was quite challenging to get exactly right (assuming the result is 'right' in your lexicon!).

There is also a small (500 pixel wide) Photoshop file which you can also download. Inside this Photoshop file you will find the original layers and masks so you can see precisely how the image was put together.
