You gotta love the look of this little camera - and its file quality is excellent too!
It's been a while since we've seen a new printer devoted to photographers. The Epson SureColor SC-P600 is a fast, flexible and easy-to-use printer for amateur and semi-professional photographers which produces professional, high-quality photo prints in sizes up to A3+.
However, earlier printers have done all this, so how is the SC-P600 better than before? The SC-P600 features a new nine-colour UltraChrome HD inkset which can reproduce a very wide colour gamut with a 2.84 DMax - the industry's highest black density, which in turn produces deep, rich blacks and ultra-smooth tonal gradations. This black density has never been seen before from a pigment ink, Epson claims.
The SC-P600 also offers auto-switching between Photo and Matte Black inks, based on the media type chosen. Photo Black ink produces rich, deep blacks on traditional photographic papers, while Matte Black ink produces exceptional results on matte surface media.
With the SC-P600's Advanced Black-and-White Photo Mode. users can choose from one of four pre-set modes - neutral, warm, cool, or sepia - for neutral or toned black-and-white prints. Custom slider bars and a colour tone wheel in the driver software provide fine tone adjustment and customised settings can be saved and recalled to achieve consistent prints.
The new printer provides Wi-Fi Direct wireless printing connectivity from smartphones, tablets and PCs. And for the first time on a single-function Epson A3+ photo printer, Epson Connect is supported. Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint are also supported for even more convenience and flexibility. Designed for medium-volume production, the SureColor SC-P600 outputs a 13x19 inch print in just 153 seconds. Twin paper paths enable A3+ printing on a wide variety of photo and fine art papers, canvas and thick media, while the machine's roll-paper capability is perfect for high-impact images.
