Canson Certified Master Printer Program Expanded
Kayell Australia is expanding it's Canson Certified Master printer program to now include not only fine art print providers and printing laboratories, but all those who print fine art, like photographers, artists etc…..
To be awarded the title 'Canson Certified Master Printer' acknowledges that you are capable of rigorously and consistently producing inkjet prints of the highest possible aesthetic and technical quality. The certification program through its demanding adherence to exacting production and quality control standards provides independent acknowledgement of your exemplary craftsmanship and artistic commitment to the fine art of digital print making.
The program costs $198.00 per ICC profile and commences with the custom profiling of a specific Canson media and Epson Photo Stylus printer by Dr Les Walkling. The custom profile is then applied in an ISO3664-2009 and ISO12646-2008 compliant colour managed workflow that includes specific working and viewing conditions. Every six months a standardized test file is printed via this workflow and submitted for verification against six colorimetric and four visual criteria. Passing this evaluation procedure certifies that your tools, procedures and working conditions remain within specification. Maintaining these exacting standards ensures you also retain the title of Canson Certified Master Printer.
Annual seminars and on-site consultations support this program by providing a forum for ongoing quality improvements including workflow consistency and accuracy, the general up skilling of personal, and improved client appreciation of the resulting print products.
