New Eizo ColorEdge Monitors

Eizo has released two new ColorEdge monitors, the ColorEdge CG247 and the ColorEdge CX241. Both models feature a new wide-gamut IPS panel that reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space.

The ColorEdge CG247 (above) comes with a built-in calibration sensor (colorimeter) for self-calibration and is targeted at professionals in photography, prepress, and post production. The ColorEdge CX241 houses an internal correction sensor that maintains the calibration results after the monitor has been calibrated with an external calibration sensor and is ideal for professionals and enthusiasts.

Shared features on the ColorEdge CG247 and CX241 include a gamma curve for each monitor adjusted on the Eizo factory line, so you know your monitor is optimised the minute you pull it out of the box. The screens feature Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology for brightness and colour uniformity, so it doesn't matter where your photo is on the screen, it has the same brightness, colour and contrast. In other words, it doesn't change depending what side of the screen it's sitting on.

You can connect to computers with DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI input terminals, and the images you see will be breathtaking with Eizo's 10-bit display (more than one billion colours simultaneously) from a 16-bit look-up table via the DisplayPort input. There are two upstream and two downstream USB ports, and the monitors achieve stable brightness, chromaticity and tone characteristics within seven minutes after power on. So, turn the monitor on, grab a cup of coffee and you're ready to go!

Both monitors come with an ergonomic stand offering 30° tilt, 344° swivel, portrait (vertical orientation) mode, and 128 mm height adjustment.

These Eizo monitors come with a five-year manufacturer's limited warranty, including the LCD panel, and a 12-month pixel defect warranty. For more information, visit www.eizo.com.au
